The Secrets of Effective School-Family Communication

Careful listening is just one of teh secrets of effective communication between school and family. The importance of positive relationships and how to create them will be the focus of this session.

Strategies for Involving Local Governments; Business and Industry; Law Enforcement; Chambers of Commerce; and Community and Faith-Based Organizations

What can a school district do to inspire members of the community to get behind “I Care”? People who have done it will share their strategies and successes.

Unleash the Greatness in Your Child

Participants in this session will be introduced to the next generation of “I Care” Parental Involvement Workbooks. The Workbooks are designed to provide parent educators with additional flexibility in the implementation of “I Care” with targeted parent groups, parent centers, and in classrooms.

“I Care” Implementation in Elementary School

This session focuses on school-tested implementation practices that are empowering parents to participate in the “I Care” Curriculum. The facilitators for this session will share real data from their respective schools—parent feedback, student feedback, & achievement results.

Empowering Boys

Participants will be given some specific “I Care” Strategies to empower boys and to get them back into the learning game. They will also learn how to use “I Care” mentoring tools to teach good character.

Distinguished “I Care” Schools

Presentations will be given by school representatives that have successfully implemented “I Care” Curricula and have documented improved achievement results. The presentations will provide new insights and school-tested implementation tools.
